Nomad Wines - Inferno 2022

Kosie's South African wines are always beautiful expressions of cool climate reds, and this Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception. The grapes for this wine are from a cooler site high up in the mountains, which allows Kosie to make a softer Cab Sav that expresses the terroir. Although the wine is very delicately extracted, it has the classic bold fruit on the profile, with notes of fresh blackberries and blackcurrants. 

Made by Kosie Van Der Merwe, a young South African winemaker based in the Mosel, Germany who produces wine in both the Northern and Southern hemisphere, either in the Mosel or in the Western Cape. A winemaker and vine grower to keep a close eye on. His South African wines are new world wines made with old world sensibilities.
