Malinga - NV Heiss Weiss

(Kamptal, Austria)

This is part Christoph Heiss's "introductory" range, along with his red 'Hot Rot'. This white (or Weiss) is a beautifully textured blend of Gruner Veltliner, Muller Thurgau and Welschriesling. It has great tension and freshness, with notes of green apples, citrus and peach and a hint of creaminess, with crisp acidity balanced by a flinty edge. 

Made by Christoph Heiss, a young producer who has recently taken over his family's winery in Engabrunn, Kamptal, and is producing some of the most exciting wines in Austria today. We've been delighted to see Christoph's project continuing to grow, and see that each year he is able to make such pure wines showing astonishing maturity.
