(Anjou, Loire, France)

Whakapiripiri Mai means 'assemble, gather together' in Maori, and this is an assemblage of Chenin from two different plots, ‘Les Cailloux’ (roughly
30%) and ‘Clos des Plantes,’ (70%) both in the Montbenault zone. Olivier recovered these neglected parcels in early 2017, a mammoth undertaking that
has handsomely paid off. This wine is fresh and rich, with tropical notes, apple and citrus acidity ending with a steely mineral finish, a must try for Chenin lovers.

Made by Olivier Lejeune, a Lille native who lived and worked all over the world before finally settling in the Loire and coming across some prized parcels in the Montbenault region of Anjou. In the space of a few short years he has already established himself as one of the most sought-after young producers in the region, and deservedly so.
