Chupacabra Blanca uses a blend of grapes, different each year but usually rooted in French/Alsatian varieties with a focus on Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

The wine comes from Buhl Memorial Vineyard in Willcox, Arizona, at the eastern edge of Sulfur Springs Valley. The soils are deep loams and clay-loams interspersed with cobbles, and the oldest 20 acres of the vineyard were planted in 1982.
