Riesling, Gerwürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muscat

Alex is known for his innovative use of blending, and this amazingly aromatic orange makes great use of Muscat for the nose, blending in the bright honeysuckle florals with the citrus of Riesling, and rose petals from the Gerwürztraminer. The big florals of this wine are kept in check with a very fresh and refined palate, with complexity that recalls more Alsace than New Zealand. 

Alex Craighead has been one of the leading figures in New Zealand’s move towards organic viticulture and low-intervention winemaking over the past decade, known for his Kindeli project. His new range of Home wines began as a separate, entirely estate-grown range: a more focused expression of the place Alex and Josefina have spent years farming and understanding. These wines are now evolving into Alex Craighead Wines.
